Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features text commentary of Sunday's games via multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard through designated networks for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six of the NFL season , following last week's discussion regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests were the number of infractions both committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves after leading 17-3 entering the final quarter versus Denver, set to play in London this Sunday.

But it proved positive to see how Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to have the shortfall before lead three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, to win the victory 21-17.

The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They are number one in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in red zone offence, and Denver won that contest.

They had the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending extra pass rushers but they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap then withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.

At the start in the campaign, we said during a show how the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly then did a good job of building upon that.

Could Denver be this year's dark horses?

New tight end their tight end has excelled significantly and new running back their rusher is a player they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL in ground gains (402) as well as tied for fourth in rushing scores (4).

It's impressive that head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows how the Broncos are a team aiming to run first, since you can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in positive situations.

It's also helped QB Bo Nix, who came into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – second only to Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass all over, however they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, plus he's highly agile.

His strengths are his movement, being able to throw on the run, as well as finding different arm angles to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver that layered pass over the middle and past defenders.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he's got great poise under pressure and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and can pass in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and is very decisive.

If you constantly rush it consumes time and forces the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and if you have an athletic quarterback the defence has to cover the area vertically and horizontally. It can be exhausting.

Nix has pushed back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and it seems the coach likes that attitude, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's fun for him to coach a young quarterback who's kind of like moldable clay. The coach can really develop him the way he desires to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach owns a championship and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the success Denver are experiencing offensively is largely down to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with the QB aids make him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to help you during difficult moments and build self-belief.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team good enough to face a top squad at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.

Right now, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're performing better than most, which is a good place to hold their division. The key to do to continue this path.

They're really good at embracing their strength, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they should do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (10th worst), and they're the sole squad yet to win a game.

Ever since the league started recording turnovers decades ago, this team are the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway in five outings, which is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a manageable slate up to their bye (in week twelve) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, the Chiefs are 2-3 and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could make a run for the top of the West.

This hinges upon what version Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
