The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
