Trump Invites Relatives of Attacked National Guard Personnel to the Presidential Residence

Former President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the White House.

He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Details on the Heartbreaking Event

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

Memorials across West Virginia have been held in their honor.

White House Offer

The president explained he’s discussed a White House visit for the parents of both members of the state National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump addressed the press. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Public Response

Mourners came together over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid law enforcement in the capital.

Remembering the Soldier

“She was the type of pupil that educators hoped for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the head of her previous school, informed the press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to help others.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Judicial Actions and Government Adjustments

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of murder and charges of violent assault while armed.

The tragedy prompted the government to pause asylum applications and cease providing visas to possessors of Afghan passports.

Condition of Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of his local high school, as reported by the Associated Press.

He continues to receive treatment and is “battling to survive”, West Virginia leader Morrisey mentioned on television.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general informed Fox News Sunday that she planned to visit the family.

Memory of Sarah Beckstrom

Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County High in 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a law enforcement officer with honor, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” Morrisey addressed the crowd at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
