Former President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the White House.

He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

Memorials across West Virginia have been held in their honor.

The president explained he’s discussed a White House visit for the parents of both members of the state National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump addressed the press. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Mourners came together over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid law enforcement in the capital.

“She was the type of pupil that educators hoped for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the head of her previous school, informed the press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to help others.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of murder and charges of violent assault while armed.

Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County High in 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a law enforcement officer with honor, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” Morrisey addressed the crowd at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
