It's tough for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

Finally, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy getting a chance to produce her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her country didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her first appearance and seven world titles have come from 10 tries across formats.

The tough gloveman was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India briefly halted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy commented earlier.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display is debatable.

Some will argue the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in training, it's been a challenging time because it seemed I've had no rhythm whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your competitive nature activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the young fast bowler in each encounter, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from that point the batsman was on her way.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her concluding event as leader in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as skipper.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
