British Culture Secretary to Hold Talks on Maccabi Tel Aviv Fan Ban
The law enforcement official from the West Midlands has called for an immediate review of the ruling to prohibit the Israeli team's fans from being present at the upcoming game.
The commissioner, who oversees the force, states that this request aims to verify whether the ban is appropriate, necessary, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced measure to achieve a lawful objective.
"That must include consideration of all and any possible suitable, other choices," the official adds.
He has additionally requested to review the official ruling and suggestion from the advisory group, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
The commissioner stresses, however, that the final decision belongs to the advisory group and the police.
